Cinderella – Theatre Royal – Newcastle upon-Tyne

This Christmas, Theatre Royal panto audiences are invited to join the comedy trio of Danny Adams, Clive Webb and Chris Hayward at the most magical pantomime of them all, Cinderella.

Cinderella will be brought spectacularly to life in a sumptuous production packed with special effects, family-friendly comedy, stunning sets, outrageous costumes, and that most magical pantomime moment when Cinderella is transported to the Prince’s Ball with the help of a pumpkin, some mice and lots of Fairy Godmother magic!

Performing Money for Nothing, Romeo and Juliet, Sultans of Swing, Private Investigations, Walk of Life, Brothers in Arms, So Far Away and many more much-loved classics drawn from six platinum albums.

Featuring all of their legendary hits, audiences are treated to those soaring guitar solos and instantly-recognisable guitar riffs by an incredibly talented band in a musical encounter you will never forget.


Newcastle International Christmas Market – Monument

18th November onwards

The Newcastle Christmas Market really does offer a great variety for all who come to visit.  Market Place Europe will be presenting exotic meats to Continental crafts and even that special Christmas gift for any Christmas shopper.

As Christmas comes nearer the fabulous Newcastle Christmas Market is on the way to the city centre once again.  The international festive market brings a blaze of colour, aromas and sounds to the city’s seasonal retail experience and this year will be no different with over 50 traders housed in beautiful wooden chalets.  

Traders from as far as Spain, Italy, France, Holland, Germany, Russia, Poland, Iran, Thailand, Spain and China, will congregate around the Grey’s Monument area transforming it into a cosmopolitan market place with chalets packed full of unusual Christmas gifts and festive foods you can’t find anywhere else. 

With delights such as Polish bigos, French crepes, Spanish paella, mouthwatering chocolate cakes and biscuits from the Italian biscotterie or wonderful cakes and pastries from the French patisserie.  If it’s a present you are looking for we can offer you the very latest style in scarves and ties from Italy, genuine Russian dolls, a huge fantastic Dutch flower garden and a wide range of jewellery.

Skating@Life – Centre for Life, Times Square, Newcastle Upon Tyne

Newcastle’s only outdoor ice rink is back.  Grab your skates, wrap up warm and head down to Times Square for a whirl around the ice.

Please note: children aged 9 and under must be accompanied by an adult on the ice rink.  Children aged 10 – 12 must be supervised by an adult (adults can watch from the viewing platform if they prefer).  There is a maximum of 2 children per adult on the ice rink.


Family (2 adults and 2 children OR 1 adult and 3 children): £25.00

Adult (aged 18+): £9.00

Concessions (OAP, student or unwaged): £8.00

Child (aged 5 – 17): £7.00

Child (aged 4 and under): £3.00 Maximum of 2 under 4s per adult on the ice rink.



Sean Lock – Keep It Light, Sunderland Empire
