Newcastle Whisky Festival

Newcastle Whisky Festival – Friday 10th & Saturday 11th March

Civic Centre – Barras Bridge, NE1

The one the only and original Newcastle Whisky Festival is back for 2017.

It doesn’t take a genius to work out that this is a must for any whisky fan, fanatic or even whisky newcomer.

Not only will you have the chance to taste the best of homegrown whiskies from all over Scotland, but we will also have a good selection of whiskies from all over the world for your delectation.

Throw in a smattering of tremendous workshops and ‘Under the Counter’ drams and the grand surroundings of Newcastle’s Civic Centre and you have a fantastic day out on the cards.

How the Newcastle Whiskey Festival works

Simply approach any of the exhibitor stands, ask politely for a dram and you shall receive a tasty glass of whisky (it really is that simple).

Every exhibitor should know their whiskies inside out and it’s well worth taking advantage of this knowledge.  They’ll be able to answer all and any whisky related questions you may have and will happily explain why their whisky is so damn tasty.

Under the counter drams

The vast majority of whiskies on show are available to taste within your ticket price.

However, ‘Under the Counter’ Token drams simply allow you access to some of the rare and more exclusive whiskies in the festival. We have two tiers of tokens available which can be purchased on the day.

So get your Whisky fix, get a bit daring and see what you can get Under the Counter!

White Tokens £3.00 each.

Orange Token £5 each

Black Tokens £10 each.

Exhibitors
