NE1 Newcastle Restaurant Week 

The incredibly popular NE1 Newcastle Restaurant Week returns again in January 2017, with over 100 restaurants involved.

It is a fantastic chance to enjoy some amazing food in Newcastle’s finest restaurants for only £10 or £15pp!

NE1 Restaurant Week is from 16th January 2017 until 22nd January 2017.  It provides ample opportunity to dine for less with discount offers at some of the city’s finest restaurants.  You can indulge in cuisine from around the world with everything from Italian, Thai and Caribbean to Mexican, Japanese and Greek delights, there’s a little something to suit everybody’s taste.

They really do love food here at the Hop and Cleaver.  They smoke their own meats!  Brew there very own small batch craft beers and love inventing all manner of cocktails!  Talk about going the extra mile.

The Hop and Cleaver is a bit of a BBQ lovers paradise with it’s very own house-smoked BBQ meats, craft beers and cocktails in a rustic space with exposed stone and beams.

Starter

Chicken Harumaki – crispy spring rolls filled with minced chicken breast, served with sweet chilli dipping sauce.
Miso Soup (v) – miso broth served with diced tofu, wakame, shitake and spring onion.
Salt & Pepper Squid – crunchy Asian vegetables, served with green chilli & lime dressing.
Japanese Mushroom & Pepper Robata (v) (gf) – courgette, aubergine, garlic and ginger.
Kimuchi & Garlic Chicken Robata – duo of garlic and kimuchi skewers, served with pickled vegetables.
Beef & Lamb Robata (gf) – duo of coriander beef and miso spiced lamb, served with pickled vegetables.
Salmon Nigiri (gf) (2pc) – sushi rice topped with fresh salmon, served with wasabi and pickled ginger.
Aveika Shake Abaukado (3pc) – salmon and avocado, topped with jalapeno mayo.

Main

Chicken Katsu – chicken breast coated with panko breadcrumbs, served with steamed rice and katsu curry sauce.
Yakitori Chicken Don – chicken breast with soy, ginger, garlic and coriander, served with steamed rice.
Black Sesame Tofu – fried tofu served with spiced wakame, asparagus, pak choi and steamed rice.
Shitake & Pepper – courgette, aubergine, garlic and ginger, served with pickled Asian vegetables and steamed rice.
Salmon Mirin – mirin glazed salmon fillet, served with steamed rice.
Beef & Coriander – fillet of beef marinated with coriander, chilli, sesame and spring onion, served with pickled Asian vegetables and steamed rice.
Garlic Chicken – chicken breast marinated with salt, pepper and garlic, served with pickled Asian vegetables and steamed rice.

Dessert

Aveika Cheesecake – homemade cheesecake served with fresh fruits.

Situated over two floors, Bealim House is Newcastle’s first authentic Gin distillery, bar and eatery.  

Home to The Newcastle Gin Company and the city’s only working in-house Gin still, the venue is unlike anything else in the area. 

You can celebrate NE1’s Newcastle Restaurant Week at Bealim House with 2 courses for £10pp or 3 courses for £15pp!
This offer is only available Monday – Friday of Restaurant Week.

 

Starter

Tandoori chicken skewers with curried mayo.
Roast carrot and caraway soup with coriander oil and bread.
Smoked salmon and dill mousse with whole meal toast.

Main

Cumberland sausage with mustard mash and onion gravy.
Broccoli and pasta gratin with vegetarian Parmesan and rocket.
Spanish fish stew with bomba rice and smoked pepper purée.

Dessert

Sticky toffee pudding with butterscotch sauce and vanilla ice cream.
Winter sliced bread and butter pudding with creme anglaise.
