Vujon is something of a culinary institution within the city. Loved by corporate and private diners as well as people visiting Newcastle and the North of England for the first time.
Located in the lively, historic Quayside area of Newcastle upon Tyne, Vujon is one of the city’s longest established and best known Indian restaurants.
Serving high quality Indian cuisine since 1990 and in recent years have invested heavily in modernising our menu and enhancing the elegant and stylish seating and decor in the main restaurant and private dining room.
Vujon welcomes guests with an atmosphere of elegance and spacious sophistication. Their style and approach is traditional and authentic with a contemporary twist.
This is particularly reflected in their food, serving a rich variety of authentic Indian food with freshly sourced ingredients where possible. Dishes and sauces are made to order. These dishes are a creative mixture of traditional classics with new, modern favourites. The quality of our food is well recognised and in 2011 head chef Khaled Miah won the Curry Chef Competition run by Newcastle City Council.
Over the years Vujon has received many regional and national accolades, including Best in the North in the British Curry Awards in 2006, and also named as the most innovative restaurant in the North in the same awards.
