  • CatPawCino Cat Cafe

    CatPawCino Cat Cafe CatPawCino provides a refuge in the city where you can relax over a cuppa and a sandwich whilst socialising with their café kitties. Spaced across two floors, located on the beautiful Newcastle Quayside over looking the River Tyne. In 1985, The Palace Garden was an award-winning restaurant and was even featured in The Good Food Guide.  Back then Peter Cheng was the proprietor and now he has returned and triumphantly restored the restaurant to its former glory.  Offering a delicious array of Szechuan, Malaysian, Cantonese and Pekinese cuisine they guarantee you’ll find their menu so enticing that choosing which dish to eat will be nothing short of a labour of love.  However it’s not just the quality of the food that sets the Palace Garden apart but also the attractive dining environment.   • Nudo Noodle House

    Nudo Noodle House A unique Noodle House, serving real comfort food from the Orient.  All ingredients are freshly prepared and made to order to provide a healthy, nutritional and sumptuous meal. Chinese and Japanese dinning, Nudo is the brain-child of Karen Lau who’s philosophy  is to serve healthy quality food, in a pleasant, comfortable atmosphere, with a friendly and attentive service at reasonable prices.  They certainly manage to meet that brief with their excellent service, flavoursome food and competitive prices. We loved their relaxed, informal atmosphere.  It is a great place to go for a chilled out meal, with a large range of dishes, FREE wi-fi access and good drinks menu.  Even if noodles are not your thing they also serve great sushi, small eats, rice dishes, fresh grounded coffee, freshly squeezed juices, premium Chinese teas and not forgetting wines, saki & bottled beers. We would definitely recommend Nudo for a night out, we love its informal, relaxed and welcoming feel.  The central location near the popular The Gate leisure complex makes it an ideal stopping point on a night out in Newcastle.


    Bealim House  Situated over two floors, Bealim House is Newcastle’s first authentic Gin distillery, bar and eatery.  Home to The Newcastle Gin Company and the city’s only working in-house Gin still, the venue is unlike anything else in the area. Formerly a print works, the bar’s interior design pays homage to the history of the building honouring its industrial feel with wooden flooring, antique leather seating, vintage tiles and varnished brick walls. The main bar is located on the ground floor and food is served from our open plan kitchen on the first floor. Great food, friendly staff and some amazing cocktails. The food is fabulous and cooked so quick it is great for an evening out or as a quick lunch.

    Cabana Brasilian Barbecue Cabana is the UK’s hottest grill from Brazil!   Flame-grilled skewers cooked fresh to order, with street food, cocktails and interiors inspired by the beaches street and markets of modern Brasil. Situated in the former Cooperative building on Newgate Street near Newcastle’s busy The Gate leisure complex. Cabana has great service, amazing food and a quirky unique relaxed atmosphere.  The decor even features seating lined with old Brazilian made jeans, with tiny treats for diners in the pockets!

Rum is tropical Caribbean sunshine, bottled, and has been intricately woven into the rich history and culture of the islands for centuries, this is celebrated at Turtle Bay with over 40 rums sourced from across the Caribbean, perfect for sipping and cocktails. Situated on Newgate Street near Newcastle’s The Gate leisure complex they are easy to get to and proves to be a popular choice with both locals and tourists alike. On busy Friday and Saturday evenings their maximum table size is 8 people, and up to 18 people during the week.  They do this to ensure that they are able to serve the freshest food with the best possible service, without upsetting other guests.  They keep their counter seating free for walk-in diners, so there may be availability even if you are unable to book online. Unfortunately they cannot accommodate hen & stag parties.
