  • Newcastle Arms

    Newcastle Arms A Public House specialising in local cask ales and good times.   Perfectly cosy for those cold winters nights.  On St.Andrew’s Street just off Stowell Street. A proper boozer with a relaxed welcoming feel.


    Bealim House  Situated over two floors, Bealim House is Newcastle’s first authentic Gin distillery, bar and eatery.  Home to The Newcastle Gin Company and the city’s only working in-house Gin still, the venue is unlike anything else in the area. Formerly a print works, the bar’s interior design pays homage to the history of the building honouring its industrial feel with wooden flooring, antique leather seating, vintage tiles and varnished brick walls. The main bar is located on the ground floor and food is served from our open plan kitchen on the first floor. Great food, friendly staff and some amazing cocktails.     The Strawberry Pub – have a pre match pint in one of the oldest pubs in Newcastle. The Strawberry pub is one of the oldest and much loved pubs in Newcastle.  Serving a canny pint they are situated right across from Newcastle’s famous St.James Park, and provides a perfect location for a pre match pint in the heart of the city. This fun traditional bar is one of the most popular pubs in Newcastle on match day and a great way to experience the proper Geordie football experience, packed full of passion, history and charm.   Good food, local beers, top craic are all on the menu at this historic bar. Outdoor seating is available on the roof terrace at the rear and a host of interesting historic Newcastle United memorabilia adores the walls.  Serves Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Coffee and Drinks, all at reasonable prices.  


    Newcastle’s newest sports bar and lounge, NINE, is now open daily from 10am (11am Sunday). One of the more popular bars in Newcastle NINE offers an extensive cocktail list, high quality food and contemporary surroundings, NINE is the perfect place to enjoy a leisurely lunch or party the night away. With a varied wine list and drinks offers including branded doubles for £3.20 and cocktail jugs from £9.95, NINE offers something for everyone. Food is served between 10am and 9pm daily (11am-5pm Sunday) and the bar is open until 11pm Sunday to Thursday and 12am on Fridays and Saturdays.  NINE also offers an outside terrace for those wishing to drink and dine alfresco. All of the food served is of extremely high quality and a range of offers are available throughout the week. All of the latest sporting fixtures are shown daily on large screens throughout the bar and there are two pool tables available.  Families are welcome until 7pm and a children’s menu is in operation until this time.     Rosie’s Bar, iconic Geordie legend.  Probably the best bar in the world, definitely the best jukebox.  Find them on the corner of China Town in Newcastle City Centre. Rosie’s Bar is a cosy corner pub popular with football fans, being close to St James Park.  It can be very busy on match days and is great for the proper Newcastle United match day experience.     Tyneside Irish Centre The Tyneside Irish Centre can be found in the centre of Newcastle, on the corner of Gallowgate Street by Stowell Street. It is a bustling and friendly place to visit.  It has a function room to hire if you are planning a party  in Newcastle upon Tyne. There concert room holds a maximum of 220 people and is perfect for larger events.  The Gallowgate Lounge holds 110 and is great for smaller, more intimate events.  The Tyneside Irish Centre provides a meeting place for the Irish community, their friends and relations, but our welcome extends to all. Get Involved The Tyneside Irish Centre has something for everyone. There are dozens of ways for you to get involved. Here’s a quick snap shot of various activities and groups that meet within the centre on a regular basis; Tyneside Maritime Chorus The Tyneside Maritime Chorus meet every Monday to sing the sea shanties of old.
